Privacy and cookies
A site with no cookies and no trackers
Nail Tech Guide is a fully static site. As it stands:
- no cookies are set on your device;
- no analytics or audience measurement runs on this site;
- no advertising script, remarketing pixel or third-party tracker is loaded;
- fonts are served from this domain rather than a third-party CDN, so nothing is requested from a font provider;
- there are no user accounts and no forms collecting your data.
That is why you will not see a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. If analytics are ever added, this page will be updated and a consent mechanism put in place first, since analytics cookies are non-essential under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Emailing us
If you write to hello@nailtechguide.co.uk, we use your address and the contents of your message to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list, pass your details to anyone else, or use them for marketing.
Server logs
Like any website, our host may keep technical logs including IP addresses and requested pages, for security and maintenance. Those logs are governed by the hosting provider's own privacy policy. The provider is named in our legal notice.
Links to other sites
The buttons on our comparison pages take you to brand and retailer websites. Those links carry parameters identifying Nail Tech Guide as the referring site, so the retailer can see where the visit came from. No personal data is passed. Once you are on their site, their privacy policy applies, not ours, and any purchase is a contract with them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. In practice the only personal data we ever hold is an email you have sent us. For any request, write to hello@nailtechguide.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
